Petmania, Ireland’s largest and liveliest pet retailer is celebrating World Animal Week 2011 in Petmania superstores all across the country. Irish-owned Petmania has a great line-up of family and pet-friendly events taking place in its fourteen branches across Ireland. With demos, info talks, treasure hunts, music and dog shows, World Animal Week sees a range of fun, free activities taking place in your local Petmania.

World Animal Week runs from the 4th – 11th of October to coincide with the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi who is the patron saint of animals. This annual celebration is a great reminder to all animal lovers to take special care of our pets and to act with compassion and respect towards them every day.

Petmania is a huge supporter of animal welfare and is currently developing meaningful partnerships with a number of animal rescue centres that will help create secure and loving homes for animals around the country. Petmania run adoption centres in some of their stores by linking up with highly regarded animal rescues. Petmania Tralee are working with AHAR to help re-home your dogs www.ahar.ie.

Petmania, Manor West Retail Park, Tralee invites you to come along to the store for our World Animal Week events, starting Tuesday 4th of Oct at 11am for a talk on Dog Care with Eileen and at 4pm there is a Talk on keeping chickens with Mike. On Saturday October 8th come in for 11am for a Fish care talk with Stephen and then Meet & Greet our Small Animals at 12pm, with a meet and greet of our Reptiles at 2pm.

Come and meet our new dog adoption partner AHAR from 11am-4pm Saturday 8th, please do not bring animals that are you seeking to home.
