Sports launch Spring Running & Fitness 2012
THE EFFORT IS THE REWARD!
Today, Life Style Sports launches its biggest running and fitness collection
to date which focuses on the massive trend of training outside, allowing the
savvy to save their pennies and take their training outdoors whether it is on
the street or at the park in bootcamp! Life Style Sports also announces a three-year
sponsorship deal with Bootcamp Ireland. The deal will give huge benefits to over
13,000 bootcampers nationwide including bi-annual kit guides ‘what to wear
and why’, free water bottles, free technical training t-shirts and a 15%
discount in all Life Style Sports stores nationwide.
As the lead partner in Ireland, for all the major running and fitness brands
from Nike, adidas, Asics, Hilly and Under Armour, shopping in Life Style Sports
will ensure you get the best in choice because of the exclusivity they get on
ranges, value for money and expertise from the largest sports retailer in Ireland.
With 62 stores in Ireland and the reopening of the brand flagship store on Mary
Street in December, 100% Irish owned and operated Life Style Sports brand, is
set to continue to lead the way on training, running and fitness in 2012.

Vivienne Bushell Marketing Director for Life Style Sports said, “We conducted
research with men and women on why they trained and what was important to them.
With 2 out of 3 Irish adults overweight and obesity linked to heart disease,
diabetes and cancer*, it was not surprising that 55% of people wanted to lose
weight. 72% of people we spoke to wanted to improve their fitness levels, while
67% trained at least twice a week. Everyone concluded that exercising had a profound
effect on their health, self-image and mental well-being and that their kit was
hugely important to helping them train. For this reason our kit guide will be
a key part of our involvement in Bootcamp Ireland as well as a 15% members discount
on full priced product. Over the last two years we’ve experienced huge
sales growth in both our fitness and running categories. We believe Irish men
and women are using fitness to help them deal with the challenges of Ireland
in 2012 by getting out there and being active. So for us, the fit with Bootcamp
Ireland is perfect.”
The hour long Bootcamp Ireland classes suitable for both men and women, put members
through their paces giving unrivalled variety including strengthening and conditioning,
boxercise, interval training with a choice of beginner or intermediate levels.
Lorraine Ho, CEO of Bootcamp Ireland said “Bootcamp Ireland has been operating
in Ireland for the past nine years and offers over 70 classes a week nationwide.
One of the most important elements of a successful training session is wearing
the correct training gear and Life Style Sports will supply not only expert information
to all Bootcampers but also a generous in-store discount. We look forward to
the year ahead and to growing the new Life Style Sports Bootcamp Ireland brand.”
The Effort is the Reward Fitness & Running campaign launches in all Life
Style Sports stores across Ireland this February and features a strong in store,
